Mama mimi’s

We partnered with an already established chain of take n bake pizza stores that needed a serious makeover. I redesigned the entire platform and kept the messaging hyper local, partenering with schools, charities and organizations within the city to become focused on community word of mouth.

Old Logo: The logo that came with the brand was successful but required some updating to be more friendly to consumers. The sharp edges and metallic look and geometric shapes eluded less to comfort and more toward rigidity and manufactured

New Logo: The evolution of the Mama Mimi’s logo played toward comfort, family and artisan. The tomato was switched form a beefsteak variety to a roma tomato which typically is seen as more artisnal and flavorful. The hand drawn lettering and tagline again played to a more welcoming presence where getting around a dinner table and having family time is more important than what is on the table.

Store Interiors

All the locations physical and digital touchpoints used rich, saturated natural textures and features to have a welcoming presence and vibe.

social with a touch of sass

Mama Mimi’s doesn’t take itself too seriously. I really enjoyed creating posts that were fun, played off of obscure holidays or local traditions while maintaining a bit of a playful edge

PRINT

I used print in different instances where social or digital advertisements felt too impersonal.

Left: Promotional pieces for school and B2B partnerships Right: Promotional print pieces for local events

Promotional in store posters

Left: School partnership fundraising collateral . Right: In store promotional coupon on thick card stock with foil printing (very fancy)
